​IMPORTANT: OSHA is NOTextending its deadline for employers to ensure that crane operators are certified. November 10, 2018. is still the enforcement date. Also in effect is the employers duty to ensure that crane operators are competent to operate a crane safely.

ENFORCEMENT as stated in the cranes standard 29 CFR 1926.1427 for 3 years, to November 10, 2018 (published in the Federal Register). The final rule includes all cranes with a capacity above 2000 l.b.s. used in construction.
